Moto Undone by Joey Ruiter

Moto Undone is American designer Joey Ruiter‘s latest concept and consists in a motorcycle stripped from all the attributes that make bikes so great: fancy paint job, exposed mechanics, exhausts, engine, etc. It results in a generic vehicle that almost makes the bike disappear and creates the illusion of a floating rider. It is powered by an electric motor with 3 hours of autonomy (approximately 90 miles) and is currently on display at the Grand Rapids Art Museum in Michigan. Enjoy!

Kinda cool but with a completely reflective surface like that and missing headlights I doubt this is allowed in regular traffic. Also, no padding makes that saddle probably seriously uncomfortable after a while.

The bike is not a PROTOTYPE nor is it a CONCEPT. its ART.

  • andrew

    yeah, bad ART.

There is a big difference between design and art…

  • some guy

Please quit trolling on this guy just because you dont understand the meaning behind this bike, obviously like it says in the description above, this bike is…”stripped of all the attributes that make bikes so great” …therefore making the bike undesirable to the AVERAGE minded person(such as you), which was exactly what the artist was trying to do. therefore mission accomplished, bravo! All you people hating on the bike are only strengthening the notion that it is INDEED not what a bike should look like. GOOD JOB! It really takes an artistic mind to understand and create something that defies the norm.

shut the fuck up. its a boxy ass bike. it doesnt take a ‘high brow’ thinker or something to figure it out. you either like it or you dont. i hate people like you that think your above someone else because you enjoy something abstract. christ.

Very cool. Don’t worry about what others are saying. They don’t understand. Would be great in the Aussie outback!

Art is in the eye of the beholder. Given the number of bike accidents that take place from car and truck drivers NOT looking for bike riders, this idea- and the fact that’s he pictured driving it on open roads- strikes me as ludicrous. Watch for the next installation “I’m sorry Ma’am, no, he wasn’t wearing a helmet”.
