C3H5N3O9 Watch by MB&F x URWERK
The C3H5N3O9 (molecular formula for nitroglycerine) watch is an incredible horological experiment conducted by MB&F in collaboration with Urwerk which features a complex Wankel engine. “At first glance the time appears to be indicated by centrally rotating triangular rotors; however, the triangles are actually Reuleaux polygons; they rotate eccentrically rather than centrally and track complex epitrochroid curves rather than circles”. It also features a power reserve indicator while its movement has an autonomy of 39hours. Price tag: 110,000 Swiss -francs ($120,000)…very expensive but very amazing. Enjoy!
