Tableware as Sensorial Stimuli
A very interesting project by Eindhoven-based designer Jinhyun Jeon who focused on the potential of tableware as sensorial stimuli in order to make eating a much richer experience. Inspired by the phenomenon of synesthesia, a neurological condition where the stimuli of one sense can affect other senses, she created a series of designs keeping in mind that “taste” is created with the combination of 5 elements: temperature, colour, texture, volume/weight, and form. Enjoy!
