Rethinking the Radiator by Rochus Jacob
Rethinking the radiator is a project by Rochus Jacob which aims to save CO2 and reduce energy expenses by 40% by simply moving the radiator deeper in to our living spaces. Ultimately, it creates more interaction and enables the user to reduce the average room temperature by 2°. Its design draws an obvious inspiration from campfires, bringing a social aspect and an emotional value into indoor heating. It works with hot water or steam just like regular radiators and without a numeric interface, just slide it up or down to find your personal state of warm. Enjoy!
