The Largest Rubber Duck in the World

To put a smile on people’s faces, Dutch conceptual artist Florentijin Hofman designed this giant 50 feet tall inflatable rubber duck. “The Rubber Duck knows no frontiers, it doesn’t discriminate people and doesn’t have a political connotation. The friendly, floating Rubber Duck has healing properties: it can relieve mondial tensions as well as define them. The rubber duck is soft, friendly and suitable for all ages!”. It has already visited the cities of Sydney, Osaka, Auckland and is now in Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour to then continue its path in other parts of the world. Enjoy!

Amazing 3D Papercraft Birds by Johan Scherft

Since the age of 14, Dutch artist Johan Scherft has been creating realistic birds with thin paper and watercolor paint, which gained him admittance to the royal academy of arts in The Hague. “They are lifesize, and very realistic in colour and detail. I make the birds (and other animals) from paper templates. The templates are handcoloured with watercolour and gouache before assembling. Some of the birds are scanned before putting together. In this way I can make a few birds, using the same design”. Enjoy!

Giant Dinosaur Made of Balloons by Airigami

A cool 20-foot long dinosaur made of inflatable balloons and named “Acrocanthosaurus” created by American studio Airigami. Based on the cast of an actual prehistoric reptile, the sculpture took 4 days of work to finish, and was installed within the Virginia Museum of Natural History. More details in the video below. Dirty Car Art by Scott Wade

Lights on the work of American painter Scott Wade who has become famous through his skills to turn dirt on car windows into art with his hand and paint brushes. Scott lives on a mile and a half dirt road, caliche as the locals call it, a blend of limestone, gravel and cray, which creates a fine white dust. Being an experimented artist, it did not take him long before experimenting different techniques to achieve such drawings. Enjoy!
