The Obliteration Room by Yayoi Kusama

A simple yet amazing installation entitled “The Obliteration Room” by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama created at the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane. The project consisted in recreating a domestic environment completely painted in white in order to serve as a giant canvas. Over the course of two weeks, kids were given coloured sticky dots, measurably changing the space as dots accumulated. A fun interactive installation that resulted in a vibrant explosion of colours. Enjoy!
