The Festina Lente Looping Bridge
Based on the concept of 4 design students (Adnan Alagić, Bojan Kanlić, and Amila Hrustić) who won a competition back in 2007, the Festina Lente (“hurry up slowly” in Latin) bridge is a 38-meter pedestrian gateway linking the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo to the other side of the river. With its iconic loop design, it is made of steel with glass balustrades and coated aluminum plates, and creates a nice visual contrast with the landscape. Enjoy!
