Casa G by Gudmundur Jonsson Architects
Located in Norway and designed by Gudmundur Jonsson Architects, the Casa G concept lies upon the reflection of its environment. The large tilted wood facade facing East is a reflection of the glacier, and vitalizes the North and South focus towards the mountain and the seaside respectively. The House was built with in-situ concrete using a special moulding pattern, which mimics the landscape that characterizes certain Icelandic mountains, called “Studlaberg”. We especially like the unique window opening on the wood wall that frames the flacier like a painting from the stunning interior. Enjoy!
